Ah, you trans has the normal transfer case, not like mine, which is an auto transfer case. i get ya. do u have a link to the wiring diagram for the manualised auto trans? from experience you need to add a few connectors into the shift position sensor plug as the one on mine had a few missing as it ...

Re: Surpra?
that diagram has both GTE and GE ecu wiring the GE has no AFM, only a MAP sensor. the 4x4 trans has 2 speed sensors i think one that has the cable for the speedo itself and the other is for the auto trans.... knowing how both trans' work im certain the 2JZ ECU will run the trans. as for me..... i ...

Re: Surpra?
You didn't even hit the rev limiter... btw what exhaust have you got? is it a JDM 2JZ-GE (ie with a MAP sensor)? I'm having real trouble finding a correct wiring diagram. I didnt hit the limiter cos ive set it to 7200 and its a timing retard/ soft limit rather than a harsh cut like the OEM ECU. the ...

Re: Surpra?
Cheers, its not water prof. ive not had it in any water just yet, knee deep puddles sure but no wading has been done. i know from just water blasting mud off the engine that it gets into the plugs and creates a miss fire. i think a new dizzy cap (its cracked) will help and a new set of leads also ...

Food for thought, It can be caused but a body lifted truck having the gearstick boot put pressure on the gearstick so when your going from power to overun the boot pops it out of gear.. I have seen it happen. i guess it could be a cause. but most likely not the only cause, if its an internal problem ...

my 5cents worth, the R15* series gearboxes are based on the R154 twin turbo supra gearbox, which is capable of handling over 500hp in a drag car. so givin that the Toyota V8 only emits about 260hp and has not a great deal of torque. im sure a R15* will be fine her are the ratios from the R15* family ...

I guess the pinion contact thoery could have some truth behind it. My 5 cents worth. Toyota "G" series diffs. these are in hilux's hiace's some prados some 4x4 liteaces and 70 series supras and the same era toyota sedans(IRS tho) 4.5 ratios are prone for breaking so stay clear of them, Not all LSD's are 4 spider the ones to find are the ones with extra ribs on the ...

As mattman found out, they do have a little bit of trouble self priming when above fuel level... it is under full load that the ill effects of a poorly fed EFI pump will be noticed, perhaps a bit of a lean out which is usually a bad thing.
