Cheers trundle, grabbed one on Friday from Active 4x4. If I had the net at work I would have seen your reply and held out. Cheers anyway

Re: WTD TD42 Conrod
Bugger about the conrod coxsy, oh well cheers for letting me know. Hopefully someone with one sees this thread.
I am going to turbo it once I put it all back together, will do new bearings and rings thoughout. I've never heard of a td25, what were they out of?

Re: WTD TD42 Conrod
Cheers coxsy, mines a na silver top out of a 1988 Safari. If you're motors the same that would be awesome.
Interesting to know about the TD27 imsohi, I've heard something about TD27 pistons increasing the compression if used in the TD42, or it might have been the other way round.

Re: GQ manifold plate to make turbo manifold wanted
Well that flange landed would be over $100, might as well buy one here for cheaper. That manifold would probably be between 250 and 300 landed and like all cheap chinese shit it's exactly that. Most of those cheap manifolds need further machining to mount up nicely. If you can weld and don't mind ...

Re: GQ manifold plate to make turbo manifold wanted
When I looked into it Autobend was about $90 and Chase was somewhere around $60. Autobend has the CAD file all ready to go whereas Chase needed either the gasket or a file that was to scale. I think they just mean dimensionally accurate. I found this dxf file for a tb45 but its all the same. m It's ...

Safari Manuual Locking Hubs
Hey guys, have been looking for some genuine manual locking hubs for my safari for a while no and came across some at a wrecker, but I'm unsure if they are genuine of those chinese aftermarket copies. Just wondering if anyone would be able to tell the difference. They look like these ones here from ...

Re: Lifting sling in place of tree trunk protector
Cheers guys, also just wondering if anyone knows why tree protectors don't have ratings and instead just breaking strains? With a breaking strain of 8000kg, what most of them appear to be, I can't imagine the swl would be that high.

Lifting sling in place of tree trunk protector
Hi guys, was looking at using lifting slings instead of tree trunk protectors as I can get them cheap through work. Has anyone used them before? A 3 tonne yellow sling when used around a tree has a swl of just over 4 tonnes, even up to 5 depending on the angle. Including the safety factor of 7 that ...
