took the truck to work and fitted a new idler arm, readjusted the front height and did a wheel alignment, then rewired the piaa wiring system and fitted some 100w hella spots to the nudge bar.
had a look at how to wire in the four spots across the roof for this weekend all going well...

Re: HILUX SURF IDLER STOPPER

gave toyota a call earlier, and they dont list different shaft sizes as such. its possible that an idler off another truck will be adifferent size, but they dont list any sizes against their part numbers :(
maybe a stopper is the best way to takcle it unless someone has a better idea?

HILUX SURF IDLER STOPPER

hey! i replaced my origional idler in my truck as it was a bit flogged out, but lastnight i noticed the new one (done around 1000km) was also stuffed, but it looked as if the shaft itself has shifted in the housing, so the drag link is sitting very close to the chassis rail and does touch with the ...

i know his first name and the company he works for, but i wont be naming and shaming until its proven that he was the one that took it.
apparently he purchased it innocently in the weekend for bugger all etc.
still doesnt explain why he's done the runner if he himself thinks it was a legit sale :?:
