at the rear of your transfer case, the output shaft is quite long and the driveshaft actually slides up and down it ( not like a normal driveshaft where the sliding occurs in the driveshaft itself )as your rear suspension moves up and down, this is a slip yoke drive shaft, see this on youtube it ...
