took my landcrusier for a swim the other day, water over bonnet etc but minamal water in cab, but now there is no headlights hi or low, all other lights work etc, only had one head light working on way home due to other bulb blowing but went back a week later to use my 4wd after "drying"it out and ...

tryed to recover a mate from a rising river and ended up havin my 60 series floating and needing a tractor after a hour of endless trying to get to him, reason why you dont 4wd alone or un prepaired, river rose two foot while he was stuck, and filled up the inside of his truck

lloked up the link and couldnt find the tourqe for the pinion tauqe, were needing the tauqe for the input flange nut, cause due to the colapsable washer they have we dont want to over do it or under do it, there is the whole do it up till the clearance has gone but we realy want to be sure

installing a eton trutrac into mates hilux and was hoping to take it out for a play tomrow but unfortanaly we cant find the pinion touqe for the colapsable spacer, and the backlash clerance for pinion to crownwheel.
PLEASE we need your help

holly hell, this post turned into a 15 year olds face book page with all the bitching going on, i have to say in my opinion of being on a few tracks etc normally if there is one big rut its not from a open diff its from rain washing off and if there is a bog whole with two ruts its normally idoits ...

managed to break three lights and then a sher pin while trying to recover a mates 4wd, in a forestry block, great fun doing so tho especially when he over heated his little winch and it caught fire

yea mine brok in a week point so wasn't under full load and i almost shat my self, went with a massive bang, showed how good the dampener things work luckily

Been yarning to a few people about sheer pins etc and at the moment running a roll pin in a 4.5 mill hole but I'm paranoid that its going to break when I'm balls deep in a mud whole and can't climb under the veichal, I've hurd six mil bolts do the trick but is the winch rope going to be the week ...

turbo issue

had my 12ht under heap of load for a long time today at the beach and noticed that now wat seams to be under higher boost there is a metallic sound coming from the turbo, dosnt seam to be lacking power, just little worried about it,
all my intake is fine and filter regurly cleaned and replaced

I've seen wat clowns doing wheel alignments can destroy, for one putting bolts in has spacers didnt seem to ring alarm bells,
for the guys in Invercargill Discount tires and Mags Have a guy who can sort out most 4wd steering probs, he knows steering inside out and backwards

il go threw and check every bulb one at a time with a multimeter to make sure they good, there was no water enter into the veichal, all the warning lights did come on at during two of the crossing but soon went off after getting out of the water, I've checked for voltage at the r/h rear plug to the ...

having trouble trying to get my park lights, front and rear going on my 60seris, there is power at the fuse you can turn the head lights on and they work but no park lights, and you turn the park light switch on and still nothing, i was driving with water almost over the bonnet the other day plus ...

looks like if ya messure your spring with and then bit of dicking around adjust the angled bit to set up the distance between shakle eyes and ya got ya self some sissor shackels

Thinking of replacing the oil In the gear box of the pto winch. Not to sure if been over thinking it but wOuld I Use a hyoid oil in case there is brass in there or just A synthetic gear oil or just thuban 85-140 or 80-90 cause it's nice and thick.

I have just brought a 1986 vx cruser with cable diff locks.
Been looking on the site but can't see anything about doing a body lift on it.
I'm
Looking at a. Two inch body lift and a four inch spring lift so I can put 33x12 on ten inch rims. Are ther any complacations that may Pop up.
