Re: Project Scumbag : Daihatsu Rugger

Cheers for the heads up, yeah my mate lived up in Keri Keri and said he did a few club runs etc.
As far as I can see, they appear to be strong but will take a pic when it's not dark for someone who isn't a noob to assess

Re: Project Scumbag : Daihatsu Rugger

Thanks for that Clive, very good read. Sorry should have been a bit less vague. This is not my daily, I have a work car which is awesome even though it is a boring pos. in saying that I do drive it when I want to feel a bit more masculin ( oxymoron in a daihstsu surely). I also use it to tow my race ...

Re: Project Scumbag : Daihatsu Rugger

Ahh I see. Thanks for that mate I really appreciate it. I have had 33's on it and they made the truck gutless as hell. So I guess the best thing to do is stay out of the deep ruts?

Few Rugger questions

Ok, have a couple of questions regarding the rugger. 1.) What size is the spline on the steering column. ie, what kind of bosskit would fit one of these? Finding a rugger one seems to be quite hard. 2.)Would using a 50mm wheel spacer get in the way of the manual locking hubs in the front? Also, any ...

Re: Project Scumbag : Daihatsu Rugger

So on the weekend we took it into the bush at Woodhill to see what it could do. Was certainly much more capable than my hilux was, but I think there is definitly room for improvement. It definitly needs to be lifted a bit, as you can see in the pics, it liked to bottom out on even medium sized ruts ...

Re: Project Scumbag : Daihatsu Rugger

Got stuck into the interior today as I couldn't really handle driving around and getting muddy as shit by the time I got anywhere. As you can see, it had never been cleaned inside. http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/7976/dsc04294hu.jpg http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/9681/img0757iy.jpg http ...

Re: Long time listener, First time caller.

Cheers fellas.

Short answer - no, not in any sort of club yet (BMWCC :D) but will look into it. I have a list of things I want/need but have no idea what they are called so will start picking your brains when I get the car here.

Long time listener, First time caller.

Hi guys, Have been lurking around these forums for a while now and have finally decided to sign up and get a bit more into the offroading buzz. I have recently sold my hilux, which was bought off an old man who was the only owner since new! I bought it originally to pull my race car but after taking ...
