Yip that's what I was thinking. Seems like a easy swap to get rid of the quarter light window and usual rust in bottom of door..

Hi,

I have the standard rusted out bottom of doors and was wondering if surf front doors fit the ln106 model hilux ? They look very similar but not sure if it will work.

Any one else done this ?

That's all great feedback, thanks guys..

Will be looking at putting only 31s and snorkel on it but realise that they will stick affect fuel use slightly.

When looking at vehicles it is always a point of difference. I'm trying to figure weather a zook is any better on fuel than say a 3L pajero swb with no mods...

Given jeep was stock when i got it, i think the 3inch lift is only really 2inch once you lift it back to stock height etc..

I have noticed rear spring sag already and the new leafs and shocks have only been in for 2 months, i guess they have to settle...

too much rubbing for me...

Would have to cut the guards a fair amount and cant really be bothered, also changing to AT tyres as dont really need the muds..

Thanks Fen, you did have a mint wagon !

My plans changed slightly, put in a 3 inch rough country lift kit and 31's. has worked out very well so far. Just cut out cat converter last weekend also, so slowly bringing the old girl upto spec..

Will post a pic once i figure out how..

Got it from Scott in christchurch. he is importing them and selling them on trademe. The old link is below. I have spoken to him a few times on the phone and he has been very helpfull. my kit hasnt arrived yet, hopefully being sent today in time for weekend.

Well just ordered the rough country 3inch lift kit.. Will post some before and after pics once installed etc.

Thanks coop, great reply..

ive been thinking about new rear leafs as well. happy to pay to replace the old tired ones..
Will have a look into the coil spacers and drop brackets for the rear leafs, seems like a good option. it would be a bit tight to fit the 31's without the spacers i think.

Well just ordered my lift and snorkel today.. Going with the old man emu option, trying to get enough lift to fit 31's under her. have been told by shop it will be sweet using zj coils up front and bigger leafs at the back to sort. time will tell i guess !
