Re: 2000 Pajero did 3.2l gls 250km yay or ney

We looked at getting one 2-3years ago with a faulty diesel pump. It was going to be 6k to get it rebuild. A new one was just under $11k, but as they were obsolete couldn't get them anymore.

Re: 1kz-te - what is this hose for?

After some more reasearch it appears Tweakes comments are correct. Someone has tryed to up the boost by bleeding off some pressure to the waste gate actuator.
I think I will remove this extra hose and return to factory configuration.

Re: 1kz-te - what is this hose for?

From doing some more reading, the actuator appears to open and close the waste gate. Anyone with knowledge of turbos know how this setup would affect the operation of the wastegate?

Re: 1kz-te - what is this hose for?

I have found a diagram that illiterates where the hoses terminate. Essentially someone has inserted a 'T' in between the hose from the actuator to the turbo and taken a new hose from the 'T' up to the air intake. As I have no experience with turbos, what does the actuator do? And why would the extra ...

Bloody hard to get the camera in to take photos. In the photo below, the arrow shows the direction of the hose (which can't be seen in the photo) the circle shows where it enters the black round thing in the back ground (the termination can only just be seen behind the hose/pipe join in front of it ...

1kz-te - what is this hose for?

Hello all. Does anyone know what the hose in the centre of the photo is for. It comes from the air intake runs down towards the turbo where it splits off, one looks as if it goes into the back of the turbo, and the other looks like it plugs into something 'round' behind the turbo. By pulling the ...

Pretty sure the head is cracked, loosing coolant, blowing bubbles in radiator.
Can anyone in Dunedin recommend a garage to use for head replacement?
Has anyone had experience with AMC branded heads, as opposed to toyota ones.

Pajero stalling, need help!

Gidday, I need help to diagnose my pajero that keeps stalling. It is a 2002 3.2 auto with 248000km on the clock. It dosen't start as well as it should, mostly on the first attempt but takes a couple of seconds longer. When it is cold it seams to idle properly about 900rpm, however once you put it ...
