We looked at getting one 2-3years ago with a faulty diesel pump. It was going to be 6k to get it rebuild. A new one was just under $11k, but as they were obsolete couldn't get them anymore.

After some more reasearch it appears Tweakes comments are correct. Someone has tryed to up the boost by bleeding off some pressure to the waste gate actuator.
I think I will remove this extra hose and return to factory configuration.

From doing some more reading, the actuator appears to open and close the waste gate. Anyone with knowledge of turbos know how this setup would affect the operation of the wastegate?

I'm hoping that it isn't hiding a issue the previous owner may of had.

I have found a diagram that illiterates where the hoses terminate. Essentially someone has inserted a 'T' in between the hose from the actuator to the turbo and taken a new hose from the 'T' up to the air intake. I took the fuel return spring out last night, stretched it 5mm. And the noise is gone. I would not of thought that such a small thing could of created such a noise. Cheers everyone for all there help. I could of spend lots of money & time trying to find that.

No hiss, noise is constant until about 3000rpm when it dissapears.
