Re: Uneventful but Scenic trip Lake Taylor
Stunning shots 8) Cheers, I've been up there half a dozen times, at least once each season anyway, it never disappoints photographically, very sheltered, so a glassy lake is all but guaranteed every morning and evening. Always spur of the moment though, so I haven't quite got around to trying my ...

Uneventful but Scenic trip Lake Taylor
Headed up to Lake Taylor over the weekend, got down to -5 or so overnight, closest i came to getting stuck was exiting the katrine/sumner track via the biggest hole near the Taylor camp ground, every other hole has gravel at the bottom... not that one.

Back with a Toyota in chch
It's been a few years since my Mistral found a new owner (against my will), and my Discovery found a ditch and went for a slide on its roof (While I was overseas and my ex was borrowing it) but I'm back again, have a 100 Series IHS Petrol because obviously my favourite thing to do is support the oil ...

Re: Safari 24v charging batteries
I'd actually run an anderson to each battery independently and use two smaller chargers*. You don't need much more than a couple of amps to maintain each battery, so anderson plug overkill a little, better with a two pin amphenol or similar IP rated plug that has a dust cap. *Charging independently ...

Old new member from Christchurch
Well I consider myself a little slack, I joined this forum two years ago and never actually introduced myself. When I first signed up I had an Escudo that needed wrecking, this I upgraded to a Nissan Mistral (Stolen), which I replaced with a V8 Disco 2 (written off in MVA by missus) and now I'm ...

Hey Guys, or anyone still checking this forum. You are in for a treat, the McCauley hut is surrounded by about a foot ot so of snow, an easy drive up if you follow my tracks or drop your tyre pressures. Wrecking: 1991 Suzuki Escudo Nomade
Have decided my old 1991 Suzuki Escudo Nomade wagon is not worth fixing or selling as a whole. It's an auto, and I would call the trim to be in fair condition for the mileage. Colour is the dark blue. Currently everything is available except the rear window winders (never worked). Problem is a head ...

Re: Terrano lift springs wanted
If your still looking I have a set of Terrano II/Mistral standard springs, they can be modified by a Christchurch crowd to be taller, I forget specifically who but could look into it, assuming the springs are the same size... That said I just picked up a pair of Dobi's from Autolign for under $200.
