Re: anyone got a manual safari gbox

yes - it would not be hard to make one at all. Price wise from japan quite cheap - $30, its just the 3-4 week wait I can't do.

Understandably none of the local 4x4 wreckers want to pull apart a good manual gear box.. when they get one themselves..

Re: How do you do the filters on a TD42 cleanly?

I faced the same problem in the weekend,,
Managed to get a plastic bag and rag under the filters - un screwed it and dropped it in. Threw a big rag on the floor and one on top of the diff. Made considerably less mess than it otherwise would have,

oil pressure gauge (nissan)

Done a search, but to no avail..

What are peoples recommendations for an aftermarket oil pressure gauge for my diesel safari? mech, or electric? After a good reliable one as a pose to some bling bling to fill the dash up with. Factory one seams hopeless..

Be aware that winding the torsion bars up too far reduces your wheel/ suspension down travel, and puts greater stress on your cv's

I fitted one to my GQ swb safari. Template was way out, so everything was fitted up by eye. Still, a quality product and I am not complaning.

yep there is a bung on the bottom of the tank. Just take off the bash plate and you should see it. Drained mine before I pulled it out.

I got a 12v supply from the clock.. everything else was 24. Give it a try. I think from memory my fog lights are just wired to the battery and then to a switch in the cab.

Cheers Tom.
