Re: Advice wanted. v6 commy into 87 navara
Nice try. But radiator cap is new. New t/stat, new waterpump and fan, new hoses, clean radiator twice, acid washed block, checked timing. Bottom hose collapses under revs when overheating. Only other thing i havent tried is taking exhaust off to check if its partly blocked. Where are you located ...

Re: WASTEGATE ACTUATOR
Why has it snapped?
Could just weld it up,
Ive modified plenty by cutting and welding to shorten and lengthen,
Have also made adjustable ones by running a die nut along and threading a tube to join both halves, good for preloading the actuator to up the boost slightly

Re: HYDROLOCKED ENGINE SURF '89 LN131 2.8L 3l
assuming its only rods why not drop the bottom end and replace the rods. tones of busted engines to rip them out of. not exactly a pro job but a whole lot cheaper than trying to find a good 2nd hand engine. Easier to pull engine and do it, the head also has to come off to get piston and rod out ...

Re: failed WOF what can i do?
If your going somewere else a few days or weeks after it was failed, ive personally found being straight up with another wof guy is the best course of action, or at least ask his opinion before forking out for a wof with the new place, could be more $$$ wasted They enter the failed category in the ...
