89 SWB TD42 with 288000km standard 31inchs tyres - I'm getting around 11 - 11.5l/100km at the moment but thats mostly open road trips to hunting grounds etc. Quite happy with that it I think.

What was the final outcome with this?

bugger Not even sure if that's the problem and my money pit is empty so I may just have to perservere a wee bit longer with fingers crossed

I can't find any literature on how to change etc but the diagrams in the manual show its held in by a circlip. Is it a simple case of taking the circlit out and the bearing will follow or does the gbox case need to be split?

Yeah thats what I thought. I'll get a quote from our local glass guy and go from there. I've checked the Aussie sites and they're in a similar boat to us. I'm surprised someone hasn't done an alternative.

Hey All, I've searched on here and google and can't seem to find anyone who supplys new window seal rubbers etc for these besides Nissan and at $297 for each side just for the window seal rubber ($400 steel, $120ish part that the window slides on) I'm not really into that. Just what i wanted to hear, I've got a pretty tight time frame on taking the gbox out and getting the flywheel to the engineer to skim before he goes on holiday and being flat he can do it quicker!! cheers Jono!
