Re: Quick D21 Terrano Question
Gold - thanks for the info. Everything seems to be running fine and it's hitting 10psi @ WOT as expected. The needle vibrate at idle is a bit annoying, but it goes as soon the car's in gear. Interesting learning about diesels - so different to petrol engines yet surprisingly simple. Thanks again for ...

Re: Quick D21 Terrano Question
Thanks - good to know and I'll probably leave the EGR until I get a blanking plate moved.
The gauge is installed but it's sitting at zero on idle (& shaking violently) - I was expecting it to read a vacuum... Is it likely I have a leak somewhere? Unfortunately I don't have a vacuum tester.

Re: Quick D21 Terrano Question
What are the disadvantages of blocking the valve, over installing a plate?
Seems a lot easier.

Quick D21 Terrano Question
Is it cool for me to plumb boost guage off this line (TD27): http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/2634/20121214123338.jpg Have to wait a few weeks for the EGT gauge - in the interim I'm planning to run 13-14psi without any other mods (i.e. just upping boost; no changes to mixture & no intercooler ...

Re: TD27 - Increasing Boost
my whole setup cost $120, out of an old subaru legacy, its a water to air one, so no need for a scoop, front mounted radiator, and water pump. if you would like pics, im half way through installing it. Pics would be great - if it only cost $120 it sounds like a viable option (I was envisaging a big ...

Re: TD27 - Increasing Boost
Read loads and loads of threads on this site (and others) but being completely new to diesels I wanted to confirm my understanding. Most threads talk about running roughly 20psi; I'm looking at running a lot less than that and if point (3) is right I'm wondering whether I need to muck around with ...

TD27 - Increasing Boost
Had a brief chat to my local nissan parts guy as well as Sibainmud a few weekends back and it got me thinking. I'd like to raise the boost on my Terrano - the engine / turbo / exhaust is factory and feels quite underpowered. From what I've heard / read on the forums it should handle a few extra ...

Re: WTB: Terrano Parts
Threw my rear bumper away a couple of weeks ago Nooooo!!! It's been a mish to find a replacement. Mine is literally rusting to pieces a two parts recently fell off the 4wd. Centre vents crumbled away when trying to remove Yep - mine was in bad condition when I bought the Terrano (one of the vents ...

WTB: Terrano Parts
I'm after the following parts for my '93 D21 Terrano: 1) Centre air vent for the dashboard 2) Spotlight switch 3) Rear chrome bumper - I've been searching for a few months and haven't been able to find one - may need to look at steel / plastic in the interim. If you can help with any of the above ...

Re: Terrano from West Auckland. Bit of a work in progress...
Thanks for the info; I'll drop Nick an email & hopefully see you out there. I did Wilsons Rd a couple weeks back - nice track and not too difficult. I'd like to explore the dunes near the top but it's not ideal with only one 4wd. Also shot up to Waionui Inlet which was a bit of fun. Such a shame to ...

Re: Terrano from West Auckland. Bit of a work in progress...
Thanks everyone. Simon - Yes I have thought of joining a club but haven't looked far enough into it yet. Keen as to tag along to the beach drive; where can I find more info? I'm also interested in doing some 4wd driver training. Did a quick search of the forum but couldn't find any recent posts ...

Terrano from West Auckland. Bit of a work in progress...
Hi everyone, I picked up a beaut 4x4 a couple months back and it's been a huge load of fun: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1313/img1556x.jpg The Terrano's a '93 2.7L Diesel Turbo with 148kms on the clock. Spent a bit of time tidying it up; so far I've: 1) Replaced the Thermostat, Fuel Filter ...
