Is your truck auto? Had a similar problem for months checked wheel bearings, drive shaft and suspension. Turns out it was early signs of my auto trans packing up.

Auto hubs and all mounting bolts wanted for KZJ78 Prado. Not fussed if they are working or not, just need some spares to build a working set.

Have you tried ramming it into gear? I know it seems a little rough, but sometimes the pressure plate seizes up when they have been sitting or when ya forget to drain the bellhousing after a river crossing! I also have the bits that form the door frame and the capping that goes along the top of ...

Have you thought about overhauling the carb on it? I had the carb on my 173 overhauled by an old fella in chch cost around $130 and he even re jetted it to match the lumpy cam, made such a difference whish I had done it sooner. Hi Don 2 to 3k is a realistic price these days for a resonable series 2 or 3, and you would be hoping for minimal rust, the rego is still live (on hold) and if not the original motor, hope that it is certed otherwise that's a few hundred bucks to squeeze from somewhere - not to mention the extra ...
