Is your truck auto? Had a similar problem for months checked wheel bearings, drive shaft and suspension. Turns out it was early signs of my auto trans packing up.

Have you tried ramming it into gear? I know it seems a little rough, but sometimes the pressure plate seizes up when they have been sitting or when ya forget to drain the bellhousing after a river crossing! I also have the bits that form the door frame and the capping that goes along the top of ...

Have you thought about overhauling the carb on it? I had the carb on my 173 overhauled by an old fella in chch cost around $130 and he even re jetted it to match the lumpy cam, made such a difference whish I had done it sooner.
