15x8 5/139.7 white steel rim
New white steel rim, 15x8, 5/139.7 PCD, -24 offset. I got it to see if 15x8s with -24 would fit my Rugger, they did but I've since decided to stick with a 7 inch rim. It's in Chch, swap for box of beers

Re: Rugger Gearbox/Transfer case
Not sure exactly, I suspect it was the mainshaft nut coming loose and eventually a bearing falling apart. For the last two years it would only gear down into second if I pushed it towards first, also changing up into second crunched. It's demise happened recently where in second I could feel it cruc...

Re: Rugger Gearbox/Transfer case
I found a gearbox and transfer case for my truck, bonus was the manual transfer case. Was an exchange so my old turbo model gearbox with the vacuum operated transfercase will be going to Toyota spares in Avondale if you (or anyone) is interested in getting one to rebuild as a spare.

Bad times for the Rugger
The inevitable gear box trouble with the rugger has struck, bad! Figure the cheapest thing for me to do is to find another gear box and keep it on the road rather than fork out for another truck, couldn't live with out one down here. Am based in Chch, any leads would be appreciated, there must be so...

Centre Diff
Centre diff, does the F70 Rugger have one? I've looked through the service manual, it doesn't mention one. Searching the net has been inconclusive with some pages saying a centre diff will be included unless your transfer case has a 'lock' button/lever and others suggesting if it's not full time 4wd...

Steel rims - best place in chch?
Want to get a set of steel rims for the rugger, would be quite keen to get them in chch so I can check they fit first.
Have seen spacers need a cert but does anyone know if you can run a 25mm offset rim without needing a cert?
cheers

New toy, 89 Rugger
So, new member and all, got this (1989 F70 DL-51) around easter and this sites been really good so far but I've reached a point where I figured I should stop lurking and sign up! Based in Chch and it's just to get me to hunting spots really so it probably won't get heaps done to it. Spent about a da...
