Re: New member Iveco 4x4
Welcome :) In my biased opinion the off roading gets better the further south you go :) Otago and the West Coast of the South Island both offer a lot of great 4wd tracks. With the right advice and care some of the Canterbury braided river beds are also great 4wd highways that offer a unique NZ off-r...

Re: Suzuki SusyQ on Big River trail Reefton
Only other pic I took. Had American visitors in the back so kind of sucked to see the wreckage amongst the greenery. Would gladly contribute $100 to anyone or group that can recover it out of there and dispose of appropriately. http://i999.photobucket.com/albums/af116/jasonmarsden/Random/D5A5FB58-1E...

Re: JK 2009 Tow Hooks
Whilst it might seem a good idea to try and keep the stock bumper you are better off ditching it for an ARB or similar that is airbag compliant and comes with recovery points. You can try the U.S. spec factory front hooks that come up through the bumper but these are not 10,000lb, only 5000 from mem...

Chucked a set of Rugged Ridge hood latches on last night. Very happy with them, solid, chunky but very well made. About an hour to install.

JK front hub/bearing for sale
I have a spare brand new Timken hub. Suit 2007 and up JK. Comes with the ABS sensor wire. $210 plus delivery or pick up Christchurch. These are pretty consumable if you have bigger or more offset tyres.

Re: Co2 regulator
I use a CO2 tank. Great for filling tyres and running air tools. Brought in a high flow regulator from Powertank in the States and just swapped the stem nut over to match NZ CO2 tank thread. Normal regulators will freeze up under the flow needed. CO2 much better than compressed air or Notrogen as it...

Hi
Here are a few more in Christchurch
http://www.4wd.org.nz/Member_Clubs.htm
I agree definately a good idea to check a few out, attend a meeting and get a feel how they operate, types of runs etc.
I've been a member of CR4WD for a few years now and enjoy it immensely.

Re: Jk body wobble
Lots of lift options but Old Man Emu do a nice tuned package set up for your rig dependent on body type, bars etc. don't be tempted to go for their heavy duty springs unless you are so heavy as to need them as this will just result in a stiff three inch lift. I've been running OME for a few years no...

Re: Who uses a Scuba tank for on board air?
I have tycho... the power tank was my first choice but I havnt been able to find anyone to fill them in wellington. Where do you get yours filled? My tank was bought from Harvey Norman as it is used for home brew and has the NZ standard fitting so any CO2 supply company will fill it. Just needed to...

Re: Who uses a Scuba tank for on board air?
Have you thought about a CO2 setup? I have a 4.5kg tank that gets filled with liquid CO2 so heaps of gas volume at constant pressure 700-800psi. Using a Powertank high volume regulator. Fills tyres real quick (faster than a gas station) and can run air tools also. Compact setup. http://s999.photobuc...
