Re: 3B Turbo?

Thanks for the replies..

How does the 3B handle the turbo?

Does anyone have all the parts needed for setting up a turbo, or know anyone that does? I'm in Taranaki.

Also how much would it cost to get one put on my engine, I wouldnt know how to put one on or have the right tools for the job

Hi Bruiser, that sounds like a good option, im not to keen on playing with my shafts either.

Have you got any photos of the setup by any chance?

Re: PTO vs Electric winch?

Yeah its on a 70 cruiser. So would you just cut the PTO shaft and re-weld it? And then make a new mounting plate positioning the winch further back?

Re: PTO vs Electric winch?

Thanks for the relpies.

Yeah that makes sense. I was wanting to gain a bit more approach angle as well because the PTO setup sticks out a lot at the front

Anyway if I do decide to get an electric one, I was thinking of an iron man 9500lb winch, are these any good?

PTO vs Electric winch?

Suggestions on what winch setup is better, PTO or electric?

Ive got a PTO on my truck at the moment but thinking of getting an electric winch for ease of use etc. I don't use my winch much as it is.

3B Turbo?

Has anyone put a Turbo on their 3B diesel before?

Is there an easy and cheapish way to put one on, like getting one off a 13-BT, or any other way to gain a bit more power?

70 series wheel hubs

How would I go about changing the front wheel bearings?

Have taken the locking hub mechanism off, came across a large nut, and don't have a socket for it, does anyone know what size this is so I can take it off?

Or is there another way to access the wheel bearings..

Re: 70 Series steering box

I've been giving it a good beating with the hammer, it just seems as though it has seized on there or something. Maybe because I have taken the box out itself, I can't get a good hit on it? Should I put the pitman arm back on the steering box so there is something to hold the arm in place, then hit ...

Re: 70 Series steering box

I've taken the pitman arm off the steering box, it came out real easy (just wanted to get it out of the way).

I can't get the arm off the sway bar?

70 Series steering box

I'm having trouble replacing my steering box in my BJ70 land cruiser.

I managed to get the actual box itself out, but now cannot remove the arm connected to the ball joint on the sway bar.. I've given it a knock with the hammer, but it won't budge...?

Is there another bolt or something?
