Stolen Mistral ChCh 14th April
Copy/pasting from other places I've posted. Between 11am and midday today my 1995 Nissan Mistral was stolen from 8 Orbell Street. I don't have much hope of getting it back but I'm widening and asking where ever I can to maybe track it down. Reg is CFE377, it's the blue/cream colour Mistral which is ...

Re: What's happening at the 'mak?
Yeah that's it, I go in off Diversion road. Get to the end where the stop banks are and you turn left (official designated 4wd tracks), which is all closed off. Aswell as alot of the tracks further up to the right are closed and/or being flattened and widened for gravel trucks etc to get to the ...

What's happening at the 'mak?
Been going down there at least once a month (North side where the 'designated' 4wd tracks are) since I got my 4wd. Noticed work being done there all the time, mostly gravel trucks and the few clearing up trees from the winds we had. I went down there last week though and noticed that the 4wd tracks ...

Re: ----- Leaving Rubbish, Theft, Vandalism, Cutting Fences
Been out to the North side of the Waimak (off Diversion Rd) a few times last week and again today. Tracks and roads were pretty tidy during the week, totally different on the weekend though. Glass bottles and rubbish everywhere, some dickheads had obviously been doing donuts and drifting up and down ...

Re: Terrano - What to be aware of?
Yep yep, sounds pretty similar to what's happening re central locking. Tried the rear door and yep it does unlock with the CL. Noticed before when I locked it the drivers door was very hard to open...possibly it's half locking its self? Job for the weekend I'd say. Also as soon as the drivers door ...

Re: Terrano - What to be aware of?
Just picked it up. Pretty happy with it considering it's just clocked over 270,000k. Engine seems good, maybe a bit hot but I'll get it all checked out soon. I'd say the radiator could do with a good clean/flush, the overflow looked pretty gunky/thicker than it should be. Heard a strange grinding ...

Re: Terrano - What to be aware of?
Thanks for those, had a look through some already but a few more I must have missed were on the search. Have bought a Nissan Mistral (picking it up Monday), bit bigger and alot heavier than what I initially wanted but figure it'll come in handy one day....somehow. Looks fairly standard to me ...

Terrano - What to be aware of?
Seriously considering about buying a 2.7TD Terrano soon-ish as opposed to another Lada or Suzuki but I have some questions, mainly of things I need to be checking on any I have a look at. Weak points, rust issues (already aware of rust under the rear seats), common problems etc etc all would be ...

Wanted Suzuki ChCh
Hope I'm not too far off the mark, after a SWB (might look at a LWB) Suzuki Vitara/Escudo prefer Auto, around the ChCh/Canterbury area though don't mind a little bit of travel around the South Island. Have around $3k to spend which seems to be what they're going for on TM lately. Don't want to pick ...

Re: Lada Wanted around Canterbury
Would really come down to what sort of condition it's in. Has it been well kept or has it been used as a farm/river hack. Much rust underneath, around windows, floor or sills? Can you find out when the last wof was and if the reg is on hold or dereged. Would appreciate if you can get some pics up of ...

Lada Wanted around Canterbury
Anybody know of any decent Ladas around? I missed the one that was for sale in Waimate a while back. Will need to have current reg and wof, good body (don't mind a little bit of rust to fix up but don't want to have a money pit). Looking to spend around $1500 I'm eyeing the one on the West Coast ...
