SJ413 engine rebuild in CHCH
Hello, The G13a engine in my SJ413 has shat itself - literally. Water pissing out the exhaust. Pulled off the head to get it inspected before I put in a new gasket, and found one of the cyclinders was pitted. Any recommendations on who can do a bore, hone, and rebuild in the CHCH area? Want a ...

Sj413 engine swap in CHCH
Sj413 stock engine is on its last legs. But, mostly it just sucks. Ultimately I want to swap out grand mothers sowing machine with a G16 16v fuel injected engine. If I had time, I could probably do it, but I don't. Anyone know of a willing capable mechanic in CHCH area who could assist with this ...

15" steel rims in CHCH
Greetings,
Looking for some wheels in CHCH:
- 15"
- width of 7" or 8"
- 5x139.7 PCD
- large negative offset
Any recommendations?
Mudbits have some decent wheels, but will need to freight. If I can get here in CHCH it would be a plus.

Re: SJ413 centre handbrake
Thanks Guys,
Yip, no movement at all in transfer case, but the UJs do move slighly when the car is rocked back and forth. I suspect it as you mention, it would be the backlash. Thought it would was UJs, but backlash makes more sense.
Cheers

SJ413 centre handbrake
Hello. I have a SJ413, which has a centre handbrake (i.e. a drum brake attached to the output shaft of transfer case). It works well. Drum brake does not move when the car is pushed back and forth. However, there is some play along the output shaft. I suspect it is the universal joints Is this ...

Re: Wheel Spacers
LVVTA rules state that for front engine, rear wheel drive vehicle, you are allowed 20% positive or negative offset based on rim width. So, the wider your rim the greater offset you can have. Perhaps I am missing something, but previous comments said 20mm only spacers, 25mm only spacers, etc? I would ...

Rockcrawler Gearset Installers (Christchurch)
Greetings,
Looking to install a rockcrawler transfer case gearset in a Samurai.
Based on instructions I have found on net, probably best for professionals to do it.
Any recommendations who would be best in CHCH?
Cheers,
J

Isuzu Mu Parts Availability
Greetings fellow members,
Looking at purchasing an Isuzu Mu. How easy is it to obtain parts, and how are these priced in comparison to other vehicles (e.g. Surf, Terrano, etc)? This mostly refers to standard OEM type parts, and not aftermarket.
Cheers,
W3B
