I was thinking Fusible links, yet i've tested what/were i think i need to for that, but then again i may have not done that right?

Righto, hi i have just put in a new Alternator. Once finished i went to fire the ol tart up, theres no dash lights,yet batterey light is on, have checked all fuse's i know of (under hood and in cab) have rechecked all plugs etc. I've spent the last day google ect and i'am still a little lost on it ...
