So I took the ECU to my old man, who is a sparky. He couldn't see anything wrong with it like blown capacitors or anything like that. no corrosion that we can see either looks pretty tidy considering its age. Is there a certain area of the board where I should be looking?/ Do I just need to test ...

Legend. It is the ECU. I swapped with my mates one who just happened to come round. put his in and drove it, back to normal. put mine back to check if it just needed a reset... but no its stuffed.

Guess now I'm looking for a ECU haha.
