Re: td42 crankshaft oil seal gen or aftermarket

I'm just going through this at the moment myself, the turbo models come with the alloy housing hence the price differences. So I've been told anyways.

Re: Safari front knuckles

Love them goats!
Tyre wear is fine, vehicle pulls left which is the only reason I'm going down this path as it's rather bugging me on long trips.
I'm determined to get this thing driving straight if it damn near kills me.

Re: Safari front knuckles

Heh, ya maniac!
Me and my truck are all about towing the boat to the water and back.
Spose I should strip the housing and run a long straight edge across the face of the pumpkin then measure forward to the knuckles to check for bendy bendy.

Safari front knuckles

Is there an easy way to determine if my front diff has a bent knuckle?
Wheel alignment only tells me the left side is 2degrees back from the right.

What are your cures for a "just enough to be annoying" notch shifting gbox?
Does anyone run an additive to smooth out the shifting?
Cheers all

Radius bushes, which ones to use?

Hey guys I'm about to replace the radius/diff bushes in the front of my y60 safari.
It's only used to pull the boat and my fat ass to work so my question is do I go genuine or aftermarket and is there anyone you recommend to purchase these from?
Cheers all

Re: Oil pressure- td42t

Eek! A little thin for an engine that's done somewhere between 390-430k wouldn't you say?
Actual kms unknown due to ODO only increasing 90kms over last 3 owners.
