It was a good but short day for us. and i got more of a work out that planned. DNF'd first 2 stages, finished the 3rd with no ground anchor and then blew the pto drive. our weekend is over.

I have a cheap 40amp plasma from goodsdirect (chinese one). It hasn't given me any probs and is bloody cheap (consumables included).

You have made me think DJ, thinking about a 3 groove V pulley, keeps it simple and plenty of room to put things on different belts. No sure yet though.

hit the nail on the head DJ, depends on what you call semi street....... have seen the same head produce 580hp and 560lbs of torque. going on a 377 (350 with 400 crank, with 4.000 bore). mite have them polished yet.... will see how they go. a few basic engine specs, everything is new. 4bolt mains ...

I have the Transmig 220, bloody great welder once you put a new diffuser on it that takes the screw-in nozzles.

WTD: Nissan GQ Patrol Body. Doesn't have to be complete, could just be a shell with no doors etc. Prefer LWB but will consider SWB, May also consider some damaged shells.

Im not after a crate motor, wanting to build it myself so i get exactly what i want.

I am no longer looking for an engine as i have brought a brand new GM block to start from scratch.

It will be going in with GQ running gear. I'm scrapping all the MQ stuff
