Just on the look out for a winter re-con project for a LT230 gearbox for my 110 prefer in CHCH.

I have purhcased new hinges for a for my early 110, passenger side went like a breeze, but drivers is being otherwise. Looks like it could have had an impact to the front right as guard outer is fibre glass. Something doesn't line up. does anyone know the correct dimensions for the the spacing ...

I will try and attach a photo of the setup below, the transfer case is an LT230 its mated through an adaptor plate from mark's 4wd in aussie.

Its deffiantly a five speed nissan with a weird contrapition to take the push pull system and change it into convential gearbox. Will try and get some photo's up of it today.

Just wondering I have a L/R 110 with a Nissan ED33 and 5 speed gearbox, but its getting noisy and I am wanting to get a spare box for it and recon if over winter. Does any body no what the model no#'s are or name of them. Any help would be appreciated.

What are the best defender replacement hinges to get? Doors are sagging and letting water through, finger size gaps. i have tried to realign them to no success.

Do I need to have a rover p/s pump for rover powere steering box or will the nissan pump be ok?

Is there anyway of working out the difference between the ED & the FD, I have just purchased a L/R with one of the above in it. Would love also to know where to find the engine # on it cant find it so far.

I have just purchased an 1985 110 with a 3.3 Nissan 4cyl diesel, I have sourced a p/s pump for this motor but am wondering what work needs to be done to install p/s to the 110. It is just the steering box that needs to be swap out with a disco/rr/defender one or is it more complicated than that?

Does Anyone know of a good set of defender doors, looking to upgrade from the early 110 slide window doors to windup, also want convert the truck cab and tub to a hard-top.
