replaced the starter(main) battery this morning, and everything went sweet as, truck back to normal. went to use it tonight and dead, no power. secondary battery hot to touch, put it on battery charger and it came up fully charged, put on the new battery and dead, is the secondary battery feeding ...

I know this might sound like a dum question but, I have a twin battery system in my 2.7 td terrano and the "starter" battery has crapped itself. Am I safe just replacing that one or do I have to replace both?

i got a 96 terrano 2.7 TD, thanks for the tips gentlemen, glad to know its could only be a short and not a full engine makeover. doesn't feel like its engaging the 4wd

When out on the open road, sometimes the 4wd light on the dash begins to flash, but once you stop the truck and turn it off then on again, light stops flashing. bit like rebooting a PC i spose, it says in the handbook to get it checked by a mechanic but murphys law I took it in and it don't do it ...

Thinking about buying a new boat, but a bit worried about the towing capability of my 96 2.7td Terrano. Currently own a 5.8 alloy that weighs a tonne and the terr pulls it sweet as. so the verdict is?? Put a T/T in for 9-5 running around, end of a big trip/day etc. But when in the Jungle, mud etc turn it off. Sounds sweet

Have just purchased my first 4wd Truck, 96 Terrano 2.7 Turbo Diesel. After owning a Subaru and the turbo care in that being so important, what changes and extra care do I make with the Terrano. It has no Turbo Timer at this stage
