Re: v6 terrano manifolds and studs
its a bit hard to get a camera in there, but its a noticeable popping noise when you accelerate. Its drivers side rear cylinder main reason I dont want to do it as I dont have any way of heating things up and if I take the header off and the stud(s) are fucked then I cant move the thing. The heat ...

v6 terrano manifolds and studs
I have just taken my v6 auto terrano in for a warrant and to fix a hole in the exhaust y section, only to have the guys find another hole between the head and manifold. I have read up a bit about this and it could cost me a bomb... Is my best bet is just to give it to the mechanic and see what ...

Re: Limits of a standard terrano...
Just though I would dredge this up as I wouldnt mind getting a new set of rims and tyres for my new terrano, can someone tell me what I can do with a terrano with flares but not lifted at all? can I run larger than 31x10.5r15? can I run a wider rim? I am thinking of getting some D windows in 15x8 ...

its 1/4 of the maximum, ie appears to be running cold. I would be much more worried if it was the other way around!

Re: v6 terrano operating temp
sweet that looks legit, I might try cleaning out the lines with compressed air and see what happens before making a decision to keep the cooler or not. These coolers look like a good option -

Re: v6 terrano operating temp
ok sweet I will look into it. I have never done a transmission flush on an auto before. I have done a bit of research so I presume the accepted way to flush a terrano box is to undo the return line from the cooler and direct into a container, then open up the fill port and have someone fill/flush ...

Re: v6 terrano operating temp
Ok, once warm the heater works fine and pumps out lots of heat so I think its ok, its just the first car I've owned where the standard temp gauge seems to read low. never trust factory gauges I guess It is an automatic, not my first choice but there were no v6 manuals around What is the main reason ...

v6 terrano operating temp
hi guys, first post here. I have just bought a 1993 v6 terrano, its in pretty good nick, no rust, and only 170,000km. Im sure I will have more questions, but first up is operating temp. I had a quick look over the truck yesterday and noticed that the radiator cap would bypass when I squeezed the ...
