Re: lt85 gearbox wanted urgently for comp next weekend
Like rocking horse shit, I sold my spare with my 110, maybe the guy that bought it might sell it to you. Keep the old one, can get new parts throu EAC in England. You'll probably need it with the big 350. Cheers

Re: Surge Tank Carb to EFI
TB42E intank pump bolts straight in to the RB30 Carb tank. They both have the same baffle tray that the pump sits down inside tank, so Il give this a go. Factory pressure looks to be around 42psi on the TB42E pump. Sure if it can keep up with a TB's appetite it'll keep up with a mere RB

Re: Surge Tank Carb to EFI
I think I may have tracked down a GQ TB42 Injected tank complete with pump. One would assume it has at least some sort of baffling built in right?

Surge Tank Carb to EFI
Hi, Converting a GQ Patrol from carb'd RB30 to EFI turb, Whats your thoughts on having the low pressure intank pump feeding a surge tank of about 2 litres located near the firewall? Low pressure pump delivers 1.8 litres a minute and 2-3PSI deadheaded. Was just planning on using a walbro or bosch ...

2500 + 20% = 3000cc if it were me a bd30 from an atlas would be the go, no cert (unless the rules have changed) direct injection add a decent turbo and intercooler setup, keeps it all Nissan Damn sure its changed jase, the +20% increase is meant for no more than 20 % power increase on the original ...

Re: motor options for Nissan Stx D40 Navara?
Give Brendan a ring on 021 475437 he was going to convert a mates D40 to LS1 using the Nissan 6 speed box, bit of electrickery to get around, but Brendan will have some other ideas, YD25's seem to be bloody dear to buy s/h, maybe you could rebuild the YD? Another option could be using the VQ30-40DE ...

Re: X NZ army 109 Stage 1 V8 Drive issue
Yes if the rear driveshaft isn't turning at all it will be the centre diff. you cant remove the transfer box as such from the LT95 four speed, but you should be able to fix it all in-situ. remove the drivers side floor plate and away you go. You can still buy the parts to rebuild the centre diff ...

I find the bighorn 764's noisy on the road and don't wear well, You should also consider kumho kl71's. Friend got 60k out of his, good acceptable road manners, great off road

2 inch Lift, caster correction bushes/arms
I have just installed 2 inch lift springs in my 110 and now it feels quite knifey on the road after about 90 km/h. Question is are the caster correction bushes adequate or do I have to get new radius arms?

How about repowering it with a 13B,14B,15B + Turbo if required? ex Toyota dyna usually, Simple conversion and gets you away from the 3B dog indirect injection (the 1 in front is direct injection)

WTB SB CHEV exhaust manifolds
Hi, Im after a couple of exhaust manifolds, standard type LH exit by oil filter and RH side needs to be rear or centre(ramshorn style) dumping vertically or close to it. the standard LH swept back type wont do. I tried block huggers but they foul the engine mounts. Cheers

Re: 2001 Hilux 3.0 non turbo, how would it compare?
my 1c worth, The 5L (NA) seems to tow pretty well, yes they are slow, but likely more dependable than the fordaza WLT for towing dutys. Friend had one new in '03-04 and couldn't tow his boat with it because it overheated at the first sight of a hill. Cracked heads are common

Re: nissan bd30 turbo installation
I don't know if you could just get away with a TD27t injector pump anyhow, if at all, yours is direct Injection and TD27 is indirect, usually higher pressures in DI from what I have seen. Just use what you have and don't go too crazy on the fuel until you install an EGT gauge

Re: nissan bd30 turbo installation
Td27 manifold and turbo would be a dime a dozen I would have thought due to so many td27t's being around here, old terranos, etc. Worst case with oil feed you could tee off oil sender unit and braze a nipple for oil return into sump, or tee off alternator vacuum pump pressure/return, but I would ...
