Another point to consider (apart from unlocking downhills) is the shock loading transfered to the gearbox/drivetrain when they unlock and then lock. Hi Bill If the gennie can provide 8 amps at 12 volts that is 96 watts. If you then draw 65 watts from that there will be 31 watts left (96-65). I assume that it has a voltage regulator built in for the 12v, if so should be good to charge a battery. Have a talk with the supplyer of the gennie, he ...

Ive got 40m of 8mm plasma on a superwinch Xp9.0 . The vehicle is a swb paj weighs about 1980kg now.
