Very late reply, The entire cooling system has now ben replaced. The Water pump started to leak about 3 weeks after it overheated. The Radiator also got sent away to get rodded out, was 70% blocked! So its not a good idea to do it if you have auto Hubs as you risk smashing them in?
Guees ill just play it safe and stop to engage even tho it is handy to be able to do it on the fly.
Just out of curiosity, how do the r50 Terranos manage it then, they do have on the fly 4WD?

Hi everyone, once again I have a question for you!
The question is, is it possible to shift a D21 Terrano Automatic with Automatic lockig Hubs from 2WD to 4WD High whilst moving?
If yes does it do any harm and what speed is it limited to?

Oh right thanks for your answers!
Well we have 86 Landcruiser with a changable preheat Timer, it is set to 12 seconds. On cold mornings it makes for so much nicer starting so I was wondering if it was possible on a terrano, is it hard to instal an aftermarket Timer?
