60 series Lancruiser, everything except engine FS

Hey fellas. I've got a 60 series landcruiser here, minus an engine, which I'll be parting out, diffs, gearbox (5 speed H55F with pto drive), very average body, to be honest its shit, inside and out, pretty certain its ex stolen/recovered (all above board don't worry). Windows are all intact, the ...

Re: HJ60 Lancruiser info wanted please

Thanks for that guys. Very helpful. I was thinking of just selling out the diffs, gearbox and perhaps steering & suspension. The body is rough inside and out so I'd bin it straight away. It is a 5 speed, and has PTO drive on the box I'm pretty sure, used to have a winch by the looks of the mounting ...

Re: HJ60 Lancruiser info wanted please

I don't think there is a panel on this fine piece of engineering that is tidy, bodywise it really is a perfect example of 'one careful lady owner'.

Good to know thanks, send me a pm of what they'd want to pay for it, because its here.

HJ60 Lancruiser info wanted please

Hey Fella's, I've got an HJ60 cruiser here that a customer has bought solely for its engine - 2H - for me to put into his bus as he cooked the last one Being a nissan lad at heart I've never really looked into the dark side of toyota and don't want to either overprice or underprice things. Aparently ...

Re: Safari diff into the R50 Terrano

I just looked at the photo and thought hold on that's josh's truck. Bloody hilux owners!!! That's something I have thought of is putting the whole thing on a proper chassis, which would be possible. Itd be a certain way to lift it and give it a bucket load of strength, and would help with the coil ...

Re: Safari diff into the R50 Terrano

Cheers for the input there. Not so much looking at the racing idea. Solid axle conversion in the front would mean I'd have to lose my IFS, and because Mr Nissan in his infinite wisdom made the R50 a mono chassis, I'd have a whole lot of fun trying to make mounts to fit say a safari coil & shock ...

Re: Safari diff into the R50 Terrano

Yea I had that thought... The top piece where the pads align are still untouched, the only thing I've shaved down to square is the bottom shiny piece you can see, which I've made a spacer to bring carrier out to match the disc. Anything that the pad touches, caliper & alignment arms aren't getting ...

Safari Rear Wheel Bearings

Gidday folks, I've had a search all over the web, & all over ORE, havn't found what I'm after. Removing the wheelbearings, is there a slimy wee trick to these, or are they just like the hilux axle bearings and they can be absolute a$$holes to get the shaft out? I've got the axle out & up on the ...

Very impressive work mate, liking it. Just a thought I had watching your video, I could be wrong, but would it be worth running a remote trumpet off your blowoff valve, last thing you want is it going off underwater and the possibility of getting water into your plumbing...? I know they breathe out ...

Re: Safari diff into the R50 Terrano

Bit of an update. So I've had a play with these calipers, got one fully done and mounted, now I'm just shaving the caliper so my wheel gets over it, ideally it needs 16 inch rims, however the Lawyers offer is now closed, so I can't go and file for divorce or get a death certificate after I go home ...

Yep, I would say your injector pump has an internal problem. Buggered plunger or spill valve.

Aussie built Haines Signature F/S

Hi guys. We've got our Bermuda Renegade up for sale, has been for a while, simply because with the workshop I've never got time to use it. The battery disconnect method can jump start the ecu to open the pump again, it works the same as with a shutoff solenoid.

Re: 1kz te help. No fuel to or from injector pump?

You'll have to crack all 4 injectors off, not right off, but off enough so if they could leak they would. Then with the main line hooked up to the injector pump, wind the engine over on the starter key, for 10 seconds or so. If you have fuel puddles around the injectors, do 3 of them back up tight ...

Re: 1kz te help. No fuel to or from injector pump?

So if you take the main line off to the injector pump and pump the hand primer do you have fuel there? If yes there are 2 possibilities: Fuel shutoff solenoid has decided to jam shut, not allowing any fuel through the pump; 2nd thing is the fuel plunger spring has either broken or jammed open, this ...

Re: Safari diff into the R50 Terrano

So my EA falcon rear calipers turned up today, looks like they will do the trick very well with little modification. Happy with that. Now its just a matter of finding time to get them done and on the diff. Then I'll be looking for a 4.1 Sylvia diff to throw in the front. Or a solid axle from another ...

That makes more sense. That is still on the pretty bloody warm end of the spectrum, but not as bad as if your sensor was on the output side of the turbo.

Re: My hunting/farm ute

Those are some pretty fierce temps mate, 6-700 would give you 700-750 before the turbo, anything above that is potentially getting into risky areas. Truck engines under full load at 45 ton only pull up to about 580 on the pyro, any more than that and they will derate to save from engine damage. I ...
