Re: New Jimny Sierra
We have 3 Jimny's in our club, one of which is mine (2012) and it goes everywhere. When I do get stuck it's easy to recover as it only weighs 1100kg. They use less fuel than the bigger trucks. Of course you can't carry as much stuff, but I often have 4 people in mine (2 kids under 14 in the back ...

Re: Thanks alot Bridgestone Firestone the Strand Auckland
The loudest tyres i've ever owned were bridgestone potenzas on my old rx8 (alot louder then the maxxis trepadors im running at the moment), and also the fact that they were 1200 for 4 which I reckon is ridiculous fr a car tyre, is also keeping me well away from B/F

Re: Extended diff breathers
I used oil rated hose as garden hose doesn't like oil and will go hard over time, cost about $50 for the right stuff but cheap insurance for ya diffs. And just used generic plastic supercheap fuel filters on the end of the hose. I ended up in super cheap and found these oil breathers http://i1288 ...

Re: Extended diff breathers
garden hose would work but its far too big you want something around 3-5mm ID +/- you don't need anything pressure rated as your trying to keep everything at neutral pressure, you need to get them up high so they are out of the water so you don't get any back feeding and fill your diffs up with ...

Extended diff breathers
Just looking at extending the diff breathers on my Jimny, is there anything bad about using a garden hose or should I use a hose with a psi rating or something like that? And just wondering what to put on the end of the hose, where would be my best bet to buy a one way valve? Ive heard of people ...

WTB Suzuki Rims
Stock or custom not to bothered, 15 inch steel rims to fit to a jimny. Plus a spare would be good.
Preferably in the wairarapa region as can't travel to much because of work.
Cheers

Re: Rim size
Just seeking abit of advice, i'm looking to buy some steel wheels for my new Jimny and have found these m Will they be to wide for a stock Jimny? And will the offset be ok? I'm also looking at buying maxxis trepadors to fit to them but want to stick to the original 205/70/R15 tyre size so it wont ...
Re: Rim size
I'm not to sure really for some reason I have it in my mind that a wider track would be ideal. I've been trying to find some nice cheap sj rims in the wairarapa with no luck
Re: Rim size
Sweet thanks for that, whats the minimum width tyre I could fit on a 7 inch rim? I want a wider rim with a negative offset to give me abit of a wider track.
Cheers
