Re: Terrano Front onto Navara D21
Headlights are a definite difference and park lights will be slightly too big for the rano grill. Question though, why swapping? I see many people going the other way (Navara grille and lamps on a terrano) on account of aftermarket LED headlamp options for the navara headlight buckets. (I myself am ...

Re: Building Te-Rino
Far out bro you did well to roll it! You didn't upgrade to the R200 front diff? Haha was very gentle so no real harm done. It was the plan (even purchased the diff drop in preparation) but the 4.8 r180 came along for next to nothing. Will swap to R200 one day though, it's part of the master plan ...

Re: Building Te-Rino
So I had landed a 4.8 front diff on Trade-me about a month or so prior to the above mentioned trip for a steal thinking that one day i'd start a project to swapping over from my 4.6s to 4.8s. Since the front diff had to come out anyway I figured now was as good a time as any, so after sourcing some ...

So I've been very quiet on the forum of late, (New role at work at the start of the year which means a lot less time for internet shenanigans) Here's the lowdown of the past few months: Truck was going great all throughout the start of the year however on one particular run late March this happened ...

Standards in the front end are just fine, have you reindexed or just cranked your torsions? If it's the latter then take em down & reindex instead so you get a better spring rate.
For Rears I use extended Munroes, but tempted to go Rancho 9000s when these ones start getting bad.

Re: Building Te-Rino
Yeah Maxima ones are pretty straight, only a real subtle curve. I actually have a hunch which I'm waiting to test that a TD42 waterpump will bolt up, at a basic glance of one on a truck it looks like it might but I'm waiting to grab my mate's busted one to put them side by side for a better look. If ...

Re: Building Te-Rino
So been a bit quiet on here of late out playing in the truck around the show. New turbo working great hits a comfortable 18-20psi mark which is more than enough to get the BFGs going. I have done some work on the Electric Fans front without messing with the waterpump. As I have removed my aircon ...

I have a second hand manifold over here but tbh mate once you pay for the shipping cost it's probably more affordable to get one fabbed up or surely Ebay have something?

Re: 42 Traverse cut back 2015
I certainly deplore vandalism of the barrier that DoC erected, but there is some responsibility on DoC too in this case, as their website had not been updated and still showed an opening date of 1 December. A bit of frustration can be anticipated if people have traveled some distance after checking ...

Track closed until 8th January at the earliest. Unfortunately someone has vandalised the barriers DOC put up, see DOC facebook page for details: https://www.facebook.com/TongariroDOC/ When speaking to the ranger, the 5 year plan is to have it completely closed off to 4x4s regardless (he is a wheeler ...

You can buy the auto lockers themselves direct from lokka.com
As for steering suspension parts etc I go through rockauto.com as they seem to be the most affordable to get the high quality Moog parts I desire

Re: weird cold start problem D21 Terrano
Interesting thought. The vacuum hose for the boost compensator on the fuel pump. Where does that go? In its current position it's on the butterfly bowl next to the intake elbow... I removed all the butterfly cold start crap when I put on the intercooler, also blocked off EGR. All the vaccum hoses ...

I wonder (and this is literally spitballing now) but if it's anything to do with the cold start crap on the intake elbow? (I replaced mine with an intercooler so never had a chance to have a problem with it as it was removed)

Not good news I'm afraid folks, just emailed the office and this was the reply: "Due to the recent heavy rain the 42 Traverse will not be open to 4WD’s until an assessment has been completed. That should be this week and will be updated on our website once completed. It will remain open to bikes, ...

Anyway, it's a moot point now anyway  on the Garrett though, took it in to work today for a good test run and there's a very noticeable difference there! With no boost tap & wastegate still attached she boosts about 13 - 14 standard (and spools up to that far quicker than the old hitachi did ...

Re: Building Te-Rino
you should be able to roatate the compressor housing to make the outlet face vertical and make the silicone U bend redundant. same goes for the inlet flange  Didn't even think of that. It actually bolts up nicely without having to change intercooler flange though as is so all happy over here ...

If road legal you will need to have at least one muffler of some description, resonator is best as they don't restrict the flow (sound better too that way more truck less tractor haha)

Welcome Wacked! You'll find the D21 Navara is pretty similar in chassis parts to your Xterra (or a WD21 Pathfinder too). Those are shocks so won't do anything if you don't do springs as well  What Crash said ^ do steering mods first as once lifted everything turns to custard. You won't need lift if you only plan on running 31s too, so spend the money on better tyres (can do to 33 x 10.5 on standard) & strong ...
