Re: Eh? What's going on with my 4WD??

Original question says it did it while in 4wd, and i think he mighta thought when ask if fitted with an auto locker that he meant the auto select for 4wd, not a lokka, so i'm thinking its just the fact he got it in 4wd on tarseal, and surfs usally dont like that? I get what i mean . But if he has ...

Re: Eh? What's going on with my 4WD??

Did you mean its auto select for 4wd or it actually does have an auto locker in the rear?

If its got an auto locker in the rear then it won''t matter if in 4wd or not? the locker always works and wouldnt like turning into parks in 2wd either. But i dont know, mine was in the front

4.1 rear surf diff

I'm after a 4.1 rear diff for my surf, cheap please. Took it out to recover my patrol and detroyed something in the rear, dont think it liked the idea of being replaced. Or you can buy it for $6000 with a buggered back diff, 94 3 litre auto, reconditioned engine (dec 05), front lokka, at's on rims ...

fitted one to the front diff of my surf, wasn't to bad to install and easier with a mechanically minded mate. Made a huge difference to the off road ability but it does like to break that right hand cv occasionally, changed my way off driving and less troubles now. fitted the lokka brand

feroza bits

Feroza uni filter, used for about a year but pretty good condition.

Recovery bracket for front of feroza, takes 2 tow hooks (mounted up the right way) and has high lift jack points. No hooks on it. No good if you have a bar on the front already.

Sell both together for $100

installed an auto locker from steve at 4x4stuff into my ifs surf, only blown one cv but there cheap and easy to install, then again i broke the odd cv without it. My surf has a similar vibration to Mikes, it started of vibrating in the front hub or diff occasionally until I had to remove the flange off the right side and put a manual hub on so I could disengage that front cv. Sounds like a spline slipping but not sure. Hoping to fix it when my locker arrives ...

I've got one complete manual hub so i guess i could fit it on one side. Be a bit odd but cant see both sides off it anyway. If that would work as we do alot of on road driving.

You had any (major) problems or negitives with the lockrite?

cheers
