no i have no idea, i didn't even know it needed a cert. thanks for bringing that up. I do have the advantage that I'm a mechanical fitter. i can machine and weld. surly i can build something to get cert? what are the rules.

Fiddle brakes,

The mod for fiddle brakes on the rear is so cheap I am considering it for my tourer.

Is that a practical idea? are they going to be useful? or is it better to just pay the extra and get a locker?

Is anyone else waiting for it to open? Hopefully it will be soon. Im planning to do Rainbow to Hanmer and return on the Molesworth.

Tried in the dark but couldn't spot it. However i did come across a good idea. Use a timing light. Place it on each lead and check for consistent pulse. eventually worked out that one lead was not working most of the time.

I have had this problem. It goes like this. Park car on a sideways slope, go for a walk. come back and drive home. Get out and get a beer. look at car. "OMG there's oil on the tyre." PANIC!!!! Then ask around and realize that its a ridged axle and the stupid diff oil can leak straight out the end if ...

After a bit of slightly too deep water the Landy has developed a missfire. i can hear a short when i put my head under the bonnet but cant see it? anyone got a good way to find it? (other than using my hand as a sensor). I have already cleaned and dried the coil connections, the lead connections ...
