Sorry don't know much about terranos (not my cup of tea), but the shuddering you described is the torque converter lockup. There is a product called lubeguard shudder fix which instantly solves the problem (around $20 or $30 from memory). I was recommended it as one of my old safaris had that issue ...

Bought a 1994 Escudo but the clutch is bugged. It slips under the load so planning to replace.

Would like to know if any good mechanics around AKL who knows what they doing with Suzuki's?? Also the cost
