From what I gather another common upgrade is fitting an airbox from a 1KZ Surf or 80 series Cruiser.

Re: vitara v Jimny
I know at least 3 farmers who own a Jimny for similar duties, they'd all be at least 6ft tall so either there's plenty of room or they just put up with it lol. I assume they're happy with the vehicles, however I do know one of them has had some conveniently undisclosed gearbox issues, more than like...

Re: Snatching with bow shackles
I'm with ya on the hooks man, have noticed it with all the Aussie shows, and aftermarket recovery points for late model utes etc are all closed loop for use with a bow shackle. I've used a shackle through a towball hole (towball removed) for snatching without a problem, but feel much better now with...

Wanted - Nissan Lego wheels
As above, looking for some Lego wheels, 15x7 0 offset, as found on some WD21 Terranos.
Ideally with centre caps but no biggie, prefer North Island.

I have a funny feeling that Jatco transmissions have a relative temp sensor deep inside the box that can cause delayed lockup like this, hopefully someone can chime in on this

Re: Safari steering wheel removal
Would've thought to be the same as the rest of em, pry the centre panel out of the top and you"ll see a big nut staring at ya. The rough way of removing is to pull hard on the wheel while your mate/missus/neighbour smacks the shaft with a hammer (leave the nut on to protect the thread) - be war...

Re: 2017 Hilux, What does the power button do?
Dunno what the button officially does, but in real world driving it turns them into absolute mutts to drive lol. The gentler you are on the accelerator the faster they rev... stick your foot flat and they bog down like your in too higher gear. Traction control system has a nervous breakdown every ti...

Bendix gear on starter motor, works like a one way clutch. Re: HELP NEEDED Nissan Terrano door bushes
Is it a WD21?
Or an R50?
If it's the former bushes and pins are listed on Trademe, cheapies and genuine Nissan
The latter I'm pretty sure don't have replacable bushes so you'll need to buy the whole hinge assemblies

What kind of tyre are you looking at? 31x10.5 all terrains will go straight on, 31x10.5 should fit standard, just you'll likely need to adjust steering stops to stop them rubbing on full lock

Yea mate tow hitch is tucked in close so it doesn't hang up like the original.
A couple more pics, also has 2" rear springs.

20160223_171822.jpg Here's mine. Upper bar is the bulk of the original towbar mounted with angle iron inside and outside the chassis rails. Lower bar protects the rear of fuel tank and has a 2" hitch receiver. Certainly not as aesthetic as some other bars around but not as ugly as I thought it...

Mine did the same, swapped the windscreen washer hoses onto the long redundant headlight washer pump sitting in front of the airbox, seems about twice the pressure now too..
