cool so on the gasket it has 3 indents beside each cylinder so this would make it a number 3 ?

hi guys I have the head off my td27 at the moment. I'm just wondering what thickness head gasket I need. can I tell by markings on the gasket?

Hi guys this has probably been asked before but was wondering what size pipe you are using to make rock sliders and bar work? Sick of worrying about damage.

Finaly got the surf going. Re done valve clearance and put extractors on it and exhaust fitted. Bring on winter!!

Its a 92 with a td27 motor, I will have a look at it in the weekend, I suppose I could see what is clicking when you put gas pedal all the way down that must have something to do with it, may be some sort of throttle sensor?

By saying giggle valve facing up you mean facing away from the motor? I jacked the front up and had the heater on with radiator cap off until heater got hot. Seems to be working now so i will just keep checking the level for afew weeks and go for a few drives before going too far in it.

it seems to have fixed its self i was driving it for about 10ks then the temp shot up to half way. the new thermostat must have been jammed. thanks for your help

i have replaced the thermostat and the temprature gauge stays on cold. then when it has been sitting for about 5min the temp gauge is half way (were it shuld be) then as i drive it goes back to cold. any ideas on what it could be?

hi all i am wanting to give my 91 surf a lift kit to fit my 33x12.5x15 tyres that are on 15x10" rims. just wanting to know if i would get away with a 2" or if i would need to lift it 4"? if i lift it 4" will the cv's be on to much of an angle? what other bits and pieces would i need to mod to get it ...
