The guys at permanent painted coatings do somthing called raptor lining, i have used it a couple of times, its realy good stuff and easy to use. i think it was around $200 for a kit. You can find them here http://www.por15.co.nz

have got all the gear for the lpg, bugger i wanted the tanks the fitted where the petrol tank was but could not find them. the auxiliary tank fits
into the hole behind the Right rear wheel, so you can keep your normal tank inplace. where did you get the lpg tanks from? ive been looking for ages.

Yeah it is just a standard truck, i think its done about 170,000 kms. i was going to put it on lpg but i could not get the lpg tank i wanted but i have all the rest of the gear including a 50 litre Auxiliary petrol tank if anybody wants it.

I had a 2.4 surf, OMG it was slow, i hated it and only had it a week or to before i sold it. i replaced it with a dico, cheap to buy but expensive to run :oops: . if youve got no kids or they are still young get a suzuki, ive got a jimny as a every day car, great to drive around town and great fun off road

The best guy to see in welly is Ian at Ruscoe Auto, 939 6406, he is the only guy in wellington that knows what he is doing. i can disconnect it if thats all you need done at the moment.

. Briefly land rover removed the centre diff lock in the series 2 discovery, but reintroduced it when the traction control wasnt quite up to it.. They did not remove the diff lock, they just removed the lever as most people did not use them. I sold a surf to buy a disco, and have not looked back ...

put in a K&N filter, i put one in my jimny and it gave it a little bit more grunt (if you can use that word with a suzuki) heres 1 going cheap

I mounted mine on the right front chassis rail,there was allready a hole in the bumper i just had to make it a bit bigger so i could fit a strop through. used it once on a ccvc driver training da and had no problems. :D

Supercheap dont sell "recovery hooks", i think they call them tow hooks to cover their arses should one break and kill someone.

It cost about $3500 to do a LPG conversion, but you would need to talk to Ian at Ruscoe Autos, he is the local expert.

You would be better of to cut the pipe than to curl it up, either way you will have to get it check for a gas wof. if you are putting it (the tank)inside the cab it will need to be vented to the outside, not a major. none of that will change the amount of gas going to the engine. :wink:

4k is way to much for a 2.4 surf, i just got rid of mine didnt have it long, i did not like it much it was way to slow . A mate of mine just got a 2.8 mu for 2k, its a bit ruff but it had a new wof and goes well. they seem to have heaps of protection under to stop damage and stuff, seems to go well ...
