Probly cos there are so many places to drive them here and us mainlanders tend to use 4wd's for what they are designed for instead of looking pretty on the main street of a city :wink:

Well I have similar problems as you, I tend to work far to much and don't get much time to play, so either way I have to work all weekend this week and prob next but will have get in contact to organize a time when we are both free.

That depends if you want the 10c's or not :lol: So that model box would be worth buying for $650 then???? so would the KZN 130 box use the r series boul housing??

Thanks, not a bad 5c worth really. I was told that a KZN130 came out of a mid 90's 3L,td surf, is this model of surf or a different box???

I've seen it advertised and it would be a good buy but i'm doin a allround coil over jobby, also what would be the fun in buying sombody else's work?? cheaper but nowhere near as challenging. I'm planning on using all toymoter running gear, I already got a lot of work cut out for me with all the chassis and suspension alterations as it is without having to make multiple adapter plates.

Could anybody help?? I would like to know what model hilux gearbox is the strongest to go behind a lexus for my MU, even better does anybody have a good one in there garage they wouldn't mind parting with.

It doesn't matter what way you putt the drive shaft in so long as both UJ's are in line, as the diff is fixed in place. So long as your not doin high speed in 4wd you shouldn't need to get it balanced.

I had thought about auto because of my problem with the right foot being rather heavy but i also like to have control over what the gear. double reduction sounds interesting though You can build a manual shift unit for them really easy I'm more than welcome to suggestions and keen to look at what ...

Steve, I'll be starting mine as soon as i got all the parts, so far I got the donkey, the mu body and diffs that im going to use, just short of the short wheel base bighorn chassis (although I am thinking of using the one I have as aviator as doner) and a strong hilux box. Then I will be in to it ...
