Re: dodgy 97 mistral auto
Another thing to look for is the trans temperature sensor. A lot of these boxes have a loose connector, like my Safari, and it locks you out if the higher gears until it has warmed up enough. Without the sensor being read correctly it just figures you haven't got there yet. Going over a bump or ...

Re: First post, on the day for the last post.
Yeah, stuck square on top of the fence at the moment. Power doesn't worry me too much. Looking round here the Cruiser takes more engine/drive train maintenance than the Safari. The Safari has rust issues due to the double skinned roof trapping condensation. Personally I'd be better doing the ...

Re: Nissan Safari vs Landcruiser 80
Interesting thread and just what I'm looking for. I had an '89 LWB low roof auto Safari for 13 years and now am looking for a replacement as it got stolen about a week and a half ago. This was a solid vehicle but had a few faults; rust, the window regulators crapping out, small 65l tank, lack of ...

We will remember them. Hi folks. Have visited this site for quite a few years and have met mudgripz once or twice. I've had a Safari for almost 13 years and been very impressed with it. Also a couple of Bighorns for young fellas to bash about in on camps. http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab7 ...
