I'm always keeping an eye on it, yeah would be good to get it busy again. It's been a big help to me when modifying things over the years.

Re: 4WD wanted
Got a 96 185 surf, v6. WOF/Rego. $3000. Drove back from Taupo alright. A bit rough around the edges but hay aren't we all. It is 25 years old!

Re: 4WD wanted
Yep your not wrong. That's why I'm looking at pretty much anything. But prices for others can be silly too, we looked at a 93 swb Bighorn locally, no WOF, rust around windscreen, other small stuff reflecting its age, sold for over $4200. Oh well, keep looking. There has been the odd vehicle that ...

4WD wanted
Hi everyone Because my surf still isn't back on the road, and who knows when it will be. My 11 year old keeps asking when we'll be going 4wding so I'm on the lookout for a cheap 4wd. Just be for easy/medium club stuff & safaris. North Island, prefer lower half. Up to $3000, possibly a bit more if ...

Johnny joints
Hi guys
Does anyone know where Johnny joints, Currie ones not cheap knock offs, can be purchased in NZ?
Or do I have to buy them from the States? Not that easy at the mo I'd imagine.
Cheers

Re: R50 Terrano auto issue.
I had a 130 surf that did that, first start of the day, the colder the day the longer it took, really cold days could be 10+ minutes of driving. Turn it off then start again while still warm it was fine.

Re: Pursuit of low mount winch happiness
Have seen a few pics of people pushing air into the winch gearbox to keep water out I'll get it all set up and submerge it and then strip it and look for any water in it its more for when winch is hot and it goes into cold water, same as what you would do jumping into cold water, an instant suck in ...

Re: 750 16 AT tyres wanted
235 85 16 tires should fit on a rim that fits a 750x16 , same size tire essentially just a bit wider Should bolt straight on but they will have a more positive offset and essentially they are only a 29" tyre I've mentioned the 235 85 to him but I think he wants 'the old style look' that the 750 16 ...

Yeah he's hoping to come across some of those ones people are replacing.
I've checked TM a few times but no ATs.
I don't use FB but he might, I'll tell him.
Would those wheels you have fit a 1987 hilux? Stud pattern, off set etc.
What you want for them? Text me if you want.
Cheers

anyone have any 750 16 all terrain tyres they don't want? or similar size.
my brother in-law is after some for his 1987 hilux. he has some old Firestone SAT but wants some all terrains. and he is in wellington but might look anywhere at right price.

are you meaning the 3.4 v6? 5vz-fe.
and which model prado? 70 with the 3zr-fe? 90 with the 3rz-fe? or 120 with the 3rz-fe or 3tr-fe? might not make any difference but might do.

Either the rules have changed or the 'usable inside' rule is ignored because they just used a portable toilet in a toilet tent and that passed certification.
It was secured for traveling.

Simple to do, my parents had a van before their motor home.
A tank for holding grey water from the sink, a chemical toilet.
Be no different for a 4wd.

Re: Kzj78 fuel capacity.
Some vehicles do over 100 km with light on.
Gauges aren't always correct.
Any dents in tank?
When it's low drain what's left and measure it then put back in and fill up.
Who knows, that site may be wrong, but I've found it right for things.
I haven't got 78 so I don't know.
