How do I tell if it is a reverse one - Is it as easy as which way the fan turns??

TJ Radiator Fan
Hi Guys.
My visco(?) unit on my fan has blown the back off the bearing and is not healthy. My mechanic says that they are expensive & hard to find. Any thoughts where I could get one or should I look at an electric fan with a switch I can turn off when in rivers?

Count me in depending on when it is also it was pasted on our Cozzie Four Wheelers facebook page and there a few keen from there.
Do we need to be ticketed to use our chainsaws or can we just rock up with them and help out? Either way I am in with or without my chainsaw

I agree it is soo sad when a child loses out. My son brought a 1/8 scale Rock Crawler from a business in Auckland and it has been 4 months and still no product and he is next to impossible to contact - I am now looking at legal action to get his money back. Man it sucks

Re: Question??
a bit tricky to disable the sender on modern vehicles. the ecu uses speed as an input for various things, so it flags an error and can even go into limp mode. the other thing does the hilux even have speedo sender ? a lot of vehicles use the ABS rings as speed pickups so theres no gearbox speed ...

Re: Question??
Talking or prompting illegal activity is not appropriate on a public Forum. As for claiming the off road RUC's, it can be done and you don't have to be a business. You do need to keep a logbook though and in reality you don't do that many km's off road in comparison to on road, so usually ends up ...

Question??
I have a 2011 Toyota Hilux which is going to do a bit of farm work every now and then. Can I run it with the speedo disconnected as I don't think it is fair that I pay RUC when I am not on the road but because I am not a business it is proving to be a nightmare to claim them back. Any thoughts on ...

"Vandals shoot up Mavora hut" m Some fuckwits smashed up the hut facilities during Labour Weekend, and now "DoC, which manages Mavora Lakes Park, is reviewing whether 4WD and vehicle access to the park will be allowed to continue." If anyone knows who the fuckwits are, please dob them in to the ...
Re: Wet Feet
Thanks again everyone looks like it may have been the windscreen after all as I came home through a heavy downpour and nothing so I will blame the glaziers
I'd say the little bit that leak after the windscreen was fixed may have already been in the cab and just worked it's way down

Re: Wet Feet
If the windscreen is good and there is no sunroof then... I would say the drain for the heater is blocked, unfortunately I've never worked on a jeep so I am guessing what this would be and where.... most cars have a rubber hose valve, a rubber hose with a pinched off end at a guess I'd say on the ...
Re: Wet Feet
Well I have had the windscreen replaced - They were just going to refit it but the glazier broke the windscreen when taking it out so yet another set of club stickers and such wasted. Roof seems to be nice and tight thanks TJ. Could it be coming in through the heater vent on the bonnet?
Re: Wet Feet
try some directed spraying with the hose on a few specific areas to try and isolate the leak mate I'd be starting with the windscreen if the problem only started after it was replaced Thanks Derk - The windscreen guys are coming out to re-install it so I will see if that fixes it otherwise will ...
Re: Wet Feet
personally i think its coming in from the exhaust. its has been vacuumed in once the vehicle is moving and then making its way right through the motor ejecting its self out of the air filter box, tracking alone the insides of the guard edge, down into the sill channel, up behind the passangers seat ...
Wet Feet

as far as dodging bullets go the damage is done when you try and re-start the truck with the bores full of water coz the old physics teacher taught us air compresses but water doesn't hence the reason con rods bend when you have a bit of water in there. If you've had it running there wont be any ...
