WOF passed - no issues at all.
Have fun putting yours back together. I'll look out for you driving around Wellington.
Cheers,
Mark.

Re: WOF Mechanic in Wellington
Not the one with the period-correct genuine parts rear mudflaps, with the gold lettering? Yep = that sounds like mine - Very proud of those mudflaps! I've ended up booking it into Driscoll Motors as they have done a couple of jobs on the landrover in the past (last time was when it 'ejected' #1 ...

Mines a dark green SWB hard top.
Yep - I have been going to Paul B for a few years and he is great. Unfortunately I have not been able to contact him in the past couple of weeks and the WOF expired last Wednesday!

WOF Mechanic in Wellington
Hi everyone, My 1978 Series 3 is due a WOF but my usual mechanic based in Miramar is away at the moment. Does anyone know of any classic-Landrover knowledgeable garage in the Wellington area (preferably central / southern)? Really don't want to take it into VTNZ as I'm sure they would fail it on the ...

Welder recommendation in Wellington
Hi all,
The front dumb irons / bumper mounts on my Series 3 have some rust holes and are in need of repair.
Can anyone recommend a welder / fabricator in the Wellington region that could do this?

Seatbelt mounting brackets
Hi, I have bought a set of retractable seatbelts for my SIII Landrover to replace the original static ones on the two outer front seats. The kit came with all the parts needed, except for some small 'L' shaped brackets that are needed to fasten the retractor mechanism to the bulkhead behind the ...

Re: Series 1 rebuild
Just watched it on TV3 on demand.
Excellent show, although as a Landrover owner I would have preferred less of the background fluff and more detail on the fabrication of the chassis repair section!
The episode on the Escort Mexico was a good one too.
Cheers,
Mark.

Re: EP90 in Wellington
Thanks for the tips on where to look for EP90. I'm only looking for a couple of litres at the moment to top up the boxes. Will need lots more when it comes to a full fluid change.
Thanks,
Mark.

EP90 in Wellington
Hi, Does anyone know where I can buy EP90 gear oil in Wellington? Most places don't seem to have heard of it and only offer multigrade transmission oils which are not suitable for a 36 year old Landrover. With all the EP90 leaking out of the bottom, I really need to start putting some more in the ...

Hi all,
With my S3 taking up my time getting it the way I want it, my 1961 S2 has got to go.
A good project for anyone wanting a classic old Landrover.

Welding in Wellington
Hi all, I was looking around my SIII today after replacing both door tops, checking out what needs to be done for the WOF in a few weeks. Unfortunately both doors will need some welding on the frames - the driver's side near the top hinge and the passenger's near the lock. Can anyone recommend a ...

Hi everyone, I have owned my 1978 Series III SWB Landrover for nearly 3 months. Only used it for city commuting so far, but looking forward to getting off road and dirty. Keen to catch up with other 4WD owners, especially Landrover owners and swapping tips for keeping these classics working as they ...
