410 Transfer case wanted
Does any one have a 410 transfer case that they would let go? The one every-body seems to be after with the 4wd light. Probably pushing my luck but I have to start looking somewhere. Soon to be running 31's on my Samy so I need to gear down to compensate. Alternatively looking at a Diff head change ...

Re: Dinged sump on V6 Vitara
OK, the verdict is that the sump will come off with the diff still in the car, but the diff needs to be pulled forward to get it out. We removed the driveshaft and mount bolt at the diff head and loosened the rest of the diff mounts then, using a load binder, ratcheted it forward enough to remove ...

Dinged sump on V6 Vitara
Hi all, we've clobbered the sump on the V6 and now its leaking at the join between the lower bowl and the main pan. (missed the alloy diff so I guess that's a bonus) How do you get the lower bowl off? it looks like I have to remove the front diff to get it out. I'm hoping its just broken the flange ...

Re: Fan into Radiator
Thanks, that's great info. What year Mirage did you scavenge the radiator off. My radiator is temporarily salvageable but is not healthy. I'm up for a replacement.

Re: Fan into Radiator
Thanks for the reply, I'll look for a viscous fan as suggested. I have a diesel escudo with a dead motor to raid parts off, I'll try that one. If no good does any one else have one for sale. prefer in Waikato area?

Fan into Radiator
Opps: Deep mud crossing has claimed my radiator, Is this a common occurrence in Suzuki Samurais? , (I know some Nissan's are known for it) More importantly where can I pick up a new/replacement fan for a sensible price? The radiator may be salvageable but in the event that its not, what suggestions ...

Getting back into 4x4
Hi Garth here from Hamilton, I'm getting back into 4x4 after 15 years absence. Last 4x4 was a tough as old boots BJ40 Land Cruiser that was a daily driver and hunting wagon on old logging tracks out the back of Ohura. If I learnt anything from the old girl I learned that having 4x4 doesn’t mean you d ...
