Its amazing what you can do when thats all you got.I sent my fly wheel in to be skimmed and they ended taking 3 mm off it .When i bolted it up the bolts were too long and bottomed on ring gear so i put my clutch in twice . it must be a 80 series thing to give assholes when replacing it .

when i did mine i dropped the transfer much easier to man handle. Use a heap of extensions and a wobly end for the top bolts . its a two man job for them. Bloody heavy everything so have fun .I did mine on the garage floor with a trolly jack .

Just finished hooking up the second battery into the Hilux .Ready for the winch to bolt on.Bought a pack for the big hunting trip coming up.Slowly getting all the gear together . I thought owning two 4x4s was expensive.

Got the hilux going again .I think i got an air leek letting the fuel run back to the tank.Takes a bit to get it going after being sitting for a while.Time to look at the hoses fittings etc . The joys

2l Roller Rockers
My old 2l has roller rocker s. It cracked the head .I scored a whole motor for good price.It doesnt have roller rockers .Can i put my roller rocker valvetrain on the new head ?They are both alloy top engines .Cheers

I was talking to a mate today and he showed me a 5 speed to suit a 1kz.he sent it to chch then the earthquake happened so he bought anotherto get going.Anyway it is fully reco from gbox factory he has receipts it is still in plastic on the pallet it came on.Hes after 1600ish.Any interest

Finally got my clutch into the Cruiser .The machine shop took too much off flywheel so cover wasnt sitting home before the bolts bottomed out.All sorted now after a month ..Fly wheel for 80 series cruiser not that easy to find.Anyway its back together now and working sweet http://i294.photobucket.co...
