heavy down low is good lowers the center of gravity, i thought cruiser diffs but they are bloody expensive and im after the width so thats why im going safari.
depending on price i may be interested in them just to keep me going till i do get a set of safari diffs

Re: 3.8l v6 rugger
wouldnt go changing the mounts would just make longer hangers, the problem with the hilux springs is that the centers are in the wrong places for the wheel arches, had that problem with mine, but if you do use hilux springs then just make longer hangers as gives better down travel as with the longer...

Re: 50mm extended shackles rugger....
if you go hilux springs it will give you a bit of a headache as it changes the center bolt position, you'd be better spending a few dollars and get the current springs either reset or a new set with lift built in, i went the hilux way on my offroader and it has lead to having to cut the guards to ge...

Re: project hardrock
not too sure being that mines only a offroader i can do it how i like, but if your going to keep yours leaf sprung there is bugger all in doing it and you'd be better going to hilux or 80 series diffs as they are slightly narrower than the safari so cert wouldnt be as much of an issue, could be inte...

this build seems to keep on going,
now have the pto winch on it just need to pull it appart and cut the cradle down to reduce the dist it sticks out and build a new bullbar for it.
this coming year it is going to become coiled i think as well

nice truck looks like you could do with a lift and some bigger tyres, good base to start from though.
