On friday I helped reroof the mother in law's house and put in a skylight in the lounge with 3 of my brother inlaw's. Saturday was chores day, lawns, edges etc. Sunday was relaxing day, motorsport in the afternoon. Today I fitted the manual hubs to my Surf thanks to those who responded to my thread ...

Surf rear bar
Does anyone make these in Wellington?
I would like to replace the factory rear bumper with a custom unit that could handle a high lift jack and possible a spare wheel mount as well.

88 Surf auto to manual hub conversion
Well this looks like a pretty straight forward job. I have a nice new set of manual hubs, all the washers and nuts etc and all the necessary tools except a 54mm socket to un/do the large nuts. I have a wrench that will go this big but how do I set the torque correctly on these nuts without a socket ...

The truck has a 50mm suspension lift, 31in BFG's, manual hubs, old man emu shocks and a fully rebuilt motor and turbo so is semi capable at the moment.
