Heres a couple pics from my current motor swap. Re: track maintenance
This is something I have had done on our property. Probably took him 10-15min maybe per 100m realistically cutting through gorse and some heavy overhanging trees along the track and on both sides/tops. I recommended this for the 42nd cutback recently as it was so fast and in most instances a tractor...

Mate your're screwed...gotta cut the wheel off with a grinder.
Seriously though? Breaker bar, extension and socket would sort your problem. Factory tyre iron usually sucks to use anyways.

Supercheap do a short flexible rubber aerial that fits up pretty easy. I've still wiped a few off in the Bush but they have lasted ok.

Re: Is this a good buy???
I don't see the connection/assumption between an individual importing it and the speedo being wound back. The guy is a licensed trader, trading under his own legal name. That's 100% accountability. I imagine this is may be due to having not imported your own vehicles. There have been a ton of peopl...

Seen a couple lwb safaris that were as tidy for the same money and in NZ over the last 6 months. I'm unsure how legit the k's are on that surf but the normal wear areas in the cab look pretty new...Still could never really be sure without more info. Person looks to be an individual importing so I'd ...

Sounds like someone might have done the "cheap vitara lift" One model of spring people use is too large to seat on the upper properly. It can also mean the brake caliper binds on the spring. The other components used seem to work well (except the front shocks) because they seemed a bit sho...

Escudo is wider I think. Wrx seats wouldn't fit in my sj. Could maybe make em work but they touched the pillars in mine. I think they almost touched in the center too. Used mitsi fto seats instead as they were a pinch narrower. Pretty easy to frame them up n install. Used stock rails and flat plate ...

Re: Worth putting rego on hold?
Yeah getting it already on hold could be best. What happens if I don’t cancel the registration? If the vehicle is required to be continuously licensed and the registration is not cancelled, the NZTA will cancel the registration 12 months after the last licence or licence exemption has expired. If th...

If it was behind RUC at its last warrant you can get billed for those k's regardless of what you do. I've always put vehicles on hold and previous owner has sorted everything. You could dereg it and just fib a bit on the ks to avoid charges I guess :? http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/factsheets/74/...

Pretty sure the vitaras track width is similar to a hilux. My past vitaras swb and lwb have felt pretty stable with minimal lean before the ass slides out. Must be driving like an animal or the sway bar bushes might be buggered if you feel like stability is an issue

I had to drill the alt bracket to suit the bigger bolt. Also had to alter the adjuster bracket to allow for the bigger diameter alternator. All pretty minor stuff really. Ran a heavier cable to the battery and cut and adapted the plug for the alt. I was doing it on an sj so had to dick around swappi...

I have an isolator that looks like this. It does 450a continuous and something ridiculous for short periods. Aluminium places could be better if you looked to run an ali grill. Up here we have ullrich ali that I've gotten grill mesh from before and it was way cheaper than that.

And likely because theres more downhill in that direction. I can't find the one way thing now but yeah read it on fishnhunt ages ago so could be BS. We have taken quads in from both ends, we just don't crank along at full speed.

I think most mt bikers and other users start at the other end. Its listed as a one way track from kapoors road on the doc website but other sites say "generally one way". Just don't wanna have a head on with someone else on the track.

Pretty sure that is just the acc levy component so there will still be the licencing fee and gst plus whatever other stupid charges they can invent. I think when the anouncement first came out average drops were like 40% which isn't bad. Based on the age brackets on vehicles does the acc levy reflec...

I've got full rebuild kits from lowrangeoffroad in the past. Came with the crush tube. Pretty easy job so long as you have the manual and access to a torque wrench, dti and a fish gauge. A400 is more than you wanna spend new and I'd be wary of a demo having seen how many shells go through one before they sell it off...also warranty??
