The lock up clutch in the torque converter isn't very big and not designed to have a large load thru them. Personally I have steered away from using it at all off road. check out the old commadore starters. I took mine to the wreckers looking for a solenoid for it, and the guy went and got a commadore one that was nearly identical. $20 for the whole thing!

Re-wired electric fan with on-off-on switch in cab for permanently on, off , and temperature controlled. Moved all the wires and removed a birds next in the process
