Re: 2017 Mainland Winch Challenge

clubman A is 33 and clubman B is 35.. Uh okaayyyy, I was meaning the 36.5" for the higher classes like open and outlaw, cause there's a Hilux on the 36" triple block Simexes.... and because that's a bit more than the standard 35" I was just wondering if the standard 33" allowed ...

Re: 2017 Mainland Winch Challenge

What's the max. size tyre for clubman? I know that event tho everyone runs 35" in the higher classes tha max. is 36.5" (I think), so is the clubman class size 33" fullstop, or has it got a bit extra added? Because if it is 33" fullstop you can't event run a 32" Simex... the...

Re: 2017 Mainland Challenge Rules?

I think clubman B are going to put into same class as clubman as there was only 1 truck last year and to be fair.. having 35' s and driving the same line as clubman is a bit of an advantage.. so watch this space.. Interesting.... as long there's a class for 33s I'll be happy. For now I'll wait with...

Re: 2017 Mainland Challenge Rules?

Are cages necessary in Clubman B? I thought they weren't but 2014 rules say they are.... did it change or am I wrong? I think clubman B are going to put into same class as clubman as there was only 1 truck last year and to be fair.. having 35' s and driving the same line as clubman is a bit of an a...

Re: 2017 Mainland Challenge Rules?

Hi Crawler, from my understanding they are getting re done due to too many inconsistency's from past rules and too many old rules that were not in a booklet or written form and was from the old days and a handshake type scenario .. Im guessing they will be ready in the next 2 months.. A lot was disc...

Re: How does snach blocks / pullyes work

interesting thread actually.. as there are 2 trains of thought.. 1 thought it doubles your pulley weight..the more it goes through pulleys.. and 2nd thought it makes it less as it spreads the load across the pulleys.. which is what I thought happens.. more pulleys the easier, slower it gets which is...

generally as high as you can get.. makes it easy to remove.. 3000psi petrol blaster will remove all things stuck but one at 1000psi may not.. Im looking at a 1800 karcher mid range for me.. but have used a grunter and its great.. steam blaster would be the bees nees..

The bronze hub bush isnt normally replaced. Somebody who knows vx80 would look for the wear but a general greasy probably wouldnt know. A tube of grease in the hub. That differant to the free wheeling engagement that deiselboy is discussing. Thats just bad assembly. Still if you pull the f.w.hubs o...
